The colour of hope

Sharon’s garden was absolutely blazing away when I was last there, as you can see:

Now this garden is a new bed, first planted in March.  Early in the year I was showing Sharon my plans for around the house. [Sharon’s rule is start next to the house and work out.  I didn’t.]  Not long after the Japanese tsunami, she came up and helped me with the retaining wall.  This was a time when it did not seem worth creating anything at all, as it looked like none of us would be around much longer!  But we got to work and somehow it helped.  That and the sound of the croaking frogs at night.  Not long ago I decided that yellow would be the theme here, after all, is there any colour less hopeful than yellow.  Now to find a few more yellow things to put in…
