My apologies for not posting again, but I was busy outside. During those dry weeks I was beavering away and finished the stone wall that I’d started 13 months ago. It may not be quite as good as the ones built by Edna Walling’s crew, but I’m pretty happy with the results. Some photos for you.
It really adds to my yellow garden, makes that bed look finished. Unfortunately the yellow garden isn’t very yellow at the moment, apart from the sandstone!

Yes it’s local stone, from quarries up the hill a bit.
